Laptop doesn't recognize my Sony MP3 player

Hello,

Laptop doesn't recognize my Sony MP3 player..it is showing as WALKMAN when I connect to the system. It is not even showing in the device manager either as "WALKMAN" or "Unknown device". How can I update the driver and make my Sony walkman working..

That doesn't answer the question at all. The guy just said "It is not even showing in the device manager either as "WALKMAN" or "Unknown device".

I have the same problem, my mp3 as well is not even shown in device manager.

I've got the same problem too... The MP3 player itself works fine but from one day to the next it just stopped connecting to my computer. It doesn't recognise the pc and the pc doesn't recognise it... Help!
