Hi,
Some days ago my PC went down and now won't boot up at all, even when I put a system disc in, which is what it was asking for. But it gave me the error message:
windowsroot2\system32\hal.dll was missing.
Where to that?

Hi Probably it because that dll might corrupted or deleted. Try recovering the OS, with the recovery console available in the OS installation. Else you need to format and install the OS.
