Headphone jack working but no speaker doesnot

Hello,
i have a HP pavilion dv1000 laptop with windows 7 installed.
I installed all the drivers and working well.

Sound driver installed.
Iam hearing the sound from the headphone.

but there seems no sound in the speaker.

I play a song and listened in headphone. when i try to pull out the speaker sounds a second and then it stops.

If any help ...appreciated...

Chek your video card drivers because often if you have HD video ,then it is the video card that manage the sound.
