I put the recovery disk in my dell inspiron laptop now it wont boot

Hi,
Trying to get Word with a recovery disk it not the way.
To get out of this black screen:
1. Remove the revocery disks.
2. Press alt+ctrl+del and this should open your task manager
3. Click on the task
tab
4. Click on the new task button and type explorer.exe
That should get you back to a normal state.
Concerning Word, that's another issue.
Good luck
