Problem with my wd harddisk

Hello,
i m currently using wd 500gd hdd
but suddenly does not working now
it does not shows any hard disk icon in my computer
i use win7 as my os
i have so many files in my hard disk
so how can i access my hdd
pls help.........

I suspect the hard disk has failed. You can check the connections to the hard disk as they sometimes get loose.

The next step is to take the PC to a repair shop.
