Hello,
i seem to have a weird problem, the computer works fine when i browse on the net or use word processor or watch a movie.
But when i play a game or switch on a bigger application, the computer fans start running 100% followed by a restart no blue screen is seen, but after it restarts the fans run normally until you run similar bigger applications

i checked out if it was the RAM problem by changing its slot and also recently upgraded it with new one. thereby, eliminating its participation in this. My system configuration is
Pentium Dual core 3.00Ghz 2.99Ghz with 3 GB DDR2 RAM (800Mhz) 256MB graphics card(inbuilt). I am completely clueless. Some one please help me out!!!

Hello,

What do you mean by bigger application, any example?

When you get the blue screen can you read the 10 caracter code beginning with 0x?

Hello dear Ambucias,

I think that Sheshadri said there was no blue sreen "no blue screen is seen", the computer just reboot when he run big applications.

However, this problem may be due to a overheat of the processor. His fans do not ventilate propely the computer.

I suggest he take a look at this link:

Hello Bionik

It can also be the graphic card and processor which are producing the heat from overworking thus getting toasted, note:

256MB graphics card(inbuilt)

Lets see first what are the heavy applications to see if they are compatible.

The link on overheating gives wise advice but it does not mention working with the laptop in a cool environment, such as on top of Mount Everest.:-)

Yes, you're right sir, If Sheshadri run big applications like latest games which require lot of graphic card, it's sure that it may be the cause.

Let's wait for Sheshadri feedback.

thanks i really appreciate u guys for helping me out here. I am not running any big games not any latest games too. i just checked if my computer met that particular game/desired applications' recommended requirement. I think Boink has just has opened up a very good possibility. Overheat, i just considered ur suggestion and took some time out to clean the fans but still, when i run war craft it rebooted and also when i run farm ville it restarted. Some thing has to give up here. i am not pushing my comp to its limits.

Also to provide u better clarity into the problem i have scanned for malware ad ware and spy ware. unfortunately the system restart cannot be attributed to that. I dont know where all these things are pointing to

Sheshadri,

Looks very much like a graphic card problem as you seem to have plenty of RAM.

You may wish to check the compatibility of your software through this link. It's not 100% proof but gives an excellent idea:

Hello my friend,

The approach that you've done is a little good, but games which Sheshadri cited are games that are played on the web, it will not install on the machine, there are web applications, aren't them Sheshadri?

Even if he has already made ??a virus, malware, spyware test, I suggest he do another test with ZPH and MBAM, he paste the report and that you take a look to see exactly what it is.

Just a matter of prudence.

Now should i paste the virus scan reports?
