Windows 7 64 bit display problem

Hello, friends plz help . actually i dont know what happen

when i install windows 7x64(64 bit ......).....after complete instalation my sony laptop display got sum prblem i.e my laptop screen divided a 2 blocks .i got a big black mark in between my display plz help me ......tel me what is this ? is it hardware problem or software problem

Your problem may be due to two things:

1- Is Windows 7 64-bits compatible with your your processor architecture, I mean have you a 64-bit processor?

2- Did you installe the driver of your graphic card after your laptop installation?

If processor is X86 the X64 will never get installed

ya i already installed and my processor is intel core 2 duo

Ok your processor is an intel core 2 duo (that is the nature) but is it a 64-bit?

ya 64 bit .and now i changed to 32 bit but no benfit that black mark is there
