Shift does not respond anymore

Hello,

i use window xp and since a few days, the shift, insert and delete keys does not respond any more...
i already tried to disable the sticky keys, rebooting the pc, i checked if my keyboard is using the european default.
but nothing seems to work.... how can i reinstall or change the keyboard settings.. if thats the problem...

i would very much appreciate i anyone could help me out here...

Did you first test with a different keyboard?

well i tested another keyboard. now i can use shift... but now i cant use the cursor keys...

hey dude i cant use my shift key on my labtop. it is a Hp brand new running windows 7. It stopped working after a long flight back from hawaii. it wasnt checked but in me back pack.
