Hello, I recently got the 'blue screen of death' whilst trying to start my computer. I tried using the windows CD to fix the problem, but on my computer I get an error saying a .sys file is corrupted (Is that the file corrupted on my computer or on the CD?). But when I tried the same process on another computer it worked fine. When ever I try to enter safe mode on my computer I get the unmountable boot volume error.
Please help me on this, I have lots of school work on that computer and I need it by next wednesday!
I realy hope I dont have to completly reinstall windows cause nothing is backed up.
Thanks.

On the blue screen, what is the 10 caracter code you got, it begins with 0x.
It's essential to know the code before I can help.

The problem may have come from the partitioning of a disk.
I suggest that you boot on the recovery console and enter the command fixboot.
In case of failure, your hardisk may be damaged, yet it may have been virused.

Good luck
