Same Here internet explorer cannot display pa

Hello, I have the same issue, I have tried some of the above things that I was comfortable doing. As as smart with the computer as you all. I can google in another opened window/broswer. But i cant get the icon from desk top to work, nor the icon from start up. I dealt with Charter yesterday, because I tried to fix this and of course screwed something up in the settings to cable. They got me back on line, but i still have the same problem. I did the add on thing. Everything worked up until I did a restore a few days ago, actually restored alot of times due to a corrupt patch from HP, Hp got me back to square one with my printer. Since then this has been my problem. I have widows XP, with service pack 3. Explorer 7 ( i think that is what was updated the other day when I did the windows update.) I have ran all my scans for virus's, and malware. I have Vipre, and AVG Free. Oh yea I tried the virus off and still no luck. Any help would be GREAT, I hope I haven't confused you. Thanks
