Hello,
I got a Acerpower desktop model #APF5 & I wanted to format the hard drive and reinstall windows XP, but each time I tried I get the message:
Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer.
Make sure any hard disk drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer, and that any disk-related hardware configuration is correct. This may involve running a manufacturer - supplied diagnostic or setup program.
Setup cannot continue. To quit Setup, press F3
I have a IDE CD drive and a SATA 100 GB harddrive
Please help, what i should do?
What is the solution?

You probably have a SATA controller that XP does not have a driver for. See this Kioskea article for solutions:
