My dell d610 not working

Hello,
I am having a dell d610. 2 weeks ago i got a mesage that my adapter is not recognised. From that time onwards i am not able to charge the batery. Last week i tried my frnds adaptor of del inspiron series and both the adaptors have same output voltage and amp. But aftr some time ma laptop turned of and when i plug adaptor to laptop the led on adaptor turns off nd my laptop is not working aftr that. I tried my adaptor too. But then also laptop cannot turned on and power light on adpator turns off... Please help me.

Hello,

Try this:

1) Disconnect the AC power adapter --> Remove the battery --> Hold the power

button for 60 seconds --> Now reconnect the AC power adapter and try to

switch ON the laptop. Later put the battery back into the laptop.
