Hello,
I have a 2Tb WD My Book external hard drive that stopped working after a file transfer to an internal HD was suddenly stopped. No PC was able to recognise it after the problem, so I took the hard drive out of the case and tried to install it on my machine, but despite appearing on the BIOS, it does not show the size and the machine does not start anymore.
Would anyone please be able to help?
Thank you!
Jody

When installation of a hard disk results in a system crash. It is normally a sign of failed drive electronics. If you can swap the circuit board from an identical (and I do mean absolute identical model) drive you may be able to salvage the data.
Good Luck
