Portable Hardrive Problem

Hello,

I was just using my Western Digital HD yesterday and I came home to find it wiped clean. It's just named Local Disk when I plug it in and isn't even recognized as being a Passport on my computer anymore. I can still access the drive but, it's just completely empty now. Any help is greatly appreciated as to how to get my data back, if at all possible.

sounds like the control board is finished, the only solution is to remove the drive and insert it in to a portable caddy.
