Hello,
Try this 1.
Click on Start --> Run --> Type MMSYS.CPL and press "Enter".
"Sounds and Audio Devices Properties" windows will be opened.
In the "Volume" tab --> Select the check box "Place volume icon in the taskbar".
If its grayed out then try reinstalling your audio drivers. You can download the
drivers from the manufacture's website.
