No picture when connecting laptop to tv.

Hello,

I have an NT laptop and it has a VGA port on it but i want to hook it up to my HD TV via an HDMI to VGA cable and nothing is happening when i make the connections. Are there some missing drivers or upgrades that i need to make or is this connection just not possible via the cable?

Did you activate the VGA port on the laptop? There is a specific "Function key" that turns on the port. A picture is not sent to the port unless it is activated.
