Hello,
I have a Gateway M Series laptop that is not making a good connection at the plug in. I turn the cord just right and hold my mouth just right and then if I hold my breath (& hold the cord in place) it just might let me work on it. The battery will show "0% available (plugged in, charging). Then sometimes it then switches to not charging without my moving it. The plug cord is not loose but it definitely appears to be a connection issue.
It is not the power cord because I have 3 and it does same thing with each
Any ideas & any way to remedy.

Often the power receptacle will work loose from the motherboard and/or the center post will break loose. Sometime it can be re-soldered or replaced. I suggest you take it to a repair shop. A replacement motherboard will cost more than a new laptop.
Good Luck
