Hello,
i put all my mp3s on a external hard drive wiped the computer clean of operating system and re installed windows xp s2 and now the external hard drive is saying it needs to be formated is there any way that i can get them out withouf formating it

hi,
try it on another computer and put them on some DVDs.
then you may format the exernal hard drive.
