Downgrading Windows 7 back to Windows XP PRO

Hello,
I recently bought a HP G7 1150US laptop which came with Windows 7 in it. I want to throw it out and reinstall Windows XP PRO. I can't change the BIOS options for AHCI to ATA because there isn't any options presented to me to change. Any suggestions? Would appreciate any suggestion anyone may have.

I suggest you research "dual boot" options. Or upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate that will allow you to run XP in a window. Otherwise Google "slipstream" to learn how to modify the Windows CD with the new drivers.
