Keyboard is writing R capital and Shift=R

Hello,

I have an apple laptop and I cant log in to the administrator system as it writing the letter R capital...and the Shift key is also R letter...don't tell me to go the preferences as I cant log in as it keeps giving me wrong password as it is writing capital R,,,,Please help

Use a external keyboard and check the shortcuts in system preferences
