Hello, I clicked on Showtme Sports Insider NFL Picks,and it told me that my browser is not supported in IE 6. So I downloaded IE8,one of four choices they support.
After completing the download,I clicked on the web page again,and got the same response,Your browser is not supported in IE6. Why is that site not recognizing IE8 on my computor after I downloaded it?

Did you install it after downloading?

Open your internet explorer

Press ALT key

Use should get menu bar

Go to HELP-About internet explorer

What is version there?
