Unlike with Windows 10, Internet Explorer is the default web browser for Windows 8. There are different versions of the browser and the latest one to ever exist is Internet Explorer 11. However, if you are used to the previous one, Internet Explorer 10, you may want to continue with it, or switch back to it. If this is your case, you are in the right place: this article discusses how to use IE10 on Windows 8.
In order to switch to and install Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 8, you need to follow these simple steps:
-
Go to Control Panel and select Programs.
- From there, choose Programs and features.
- Next, go to Windows features and disable Internet Explorer 11 by unticking IE.
- Now click on Display installed updates and search for Internet Explorer.
- Right-click on Internet Explorer 11 and choose Uninstall.
- Do the same thing with Internet Explorer 10.
- Restart your PC.
- Download Internet Explorer 10.
Once the installation is complete, you should be able to surf the internet with IE10!
