Hello,

Have a problem that after system restore I lost audio and the driver scan I used tells me it has to do with the absence of Realtek RTL 8102E/8103E family PCI-E FastEthernet NIC, installed on 2008 5.708.1030. The driverscan appoints an update 5.782.0114 of jan. 13th 2011. The scan also tells that the Audio Device on High Defination Audio Bus is not installed n/a and gives as its update 5.10.0.6167. My mainboard is a Biostar 945GC M4. I downloaded a couple of free audio drivers but non will install. My Computer knowledge is very limited and requires a more detailed explanation. Anyone to offer help will be much appreciated.

Hello Ruperto,

I suggest that you go to Device Manager, locate your Realtek RTL 8102E/8103E click on it and uninstal it. Reboot your system and Windows will tell you that new hardware has been found. If you still have no sound, from the Device Manager locate the driver update and install it.

Good luck
