recovering movies from my "dead" hard driveClosed

Hello, I have taken my hard drive to a teky but he was unable to open up my hard drive, as I have my dvd series and movies on this hard drive I do not wish to leave any stone unturned to see if I can rescue these movies. Please help ,anyone!!!!

What you mean by dead?You can try with an external enclosure and fix the hard drive in it.Please provide your feedback.

Or, on the other hand if it is still working and is internal. You adjust the "Jumpers" and use another hard drive with an OS on it. And HOPEFULLY the problem is solved! :-)
