Sony PCG 9S1L Laptop monitor

Hello,
When I turn the laptop on the screen flickers, turns blue and had a bar that say windows is resuming and then goes blue with flickering colors across the screen. I have had the laptop for about 3 years but have probably only used it 100 hours or 150 at the most. It was working fine the last time I had it on. It has since been in a case put away. Any help would be appreciated.
