Hello,
I've got one Dell Inspiron 1440 Laptop that I've bought from my friend. The problem with that computer is when I start what that's appear at the monitor is need to enter an administrative password which that I don't ever know what are the password is. I also have already tried to press F8 during startup for restoring factory setting but it appear ed the same. Please help me to soft this matter because it will just gonna waste me for buying it.

When he says administrative password, I think he means Windows password. You've got to ask your friend the password.

I've already ask him about it but he also didn't know that there is a password needed for that because he didn't create any password for it. That's why I'm stuck here and really need an ideas from you all if there is other alternative for me to break thru the system where that I can reinstall back the data.TQ

by default while installing the windows is to be kept blank(thats if he has alloted a password) . So press enter when the windows pop up that prompts u to enter the administrators password
