Hello,
my hp is 3 yrs old. last 9/1/2011 , i try to restart my laptop bcos it was slow but it won't, i try many times but nothing. so i decided to bring it to repair. after 2weks they call me and told me that "the unit is infested" so they cannot do anything. is this mean there is no way to fix it?

I guess "infested" means it is infested with a virus or many virus programs. They should be able to wipe the hard drive and re-install Windows. It sounds like they don't want to try to clean the virus from Windows.
