My dell laptop wont turn on?

Hello,


Im wondering if anyone could help?

My harddrive has decided to die so I I am try to install a new one and when I put it and then try to switch the laptop on, it wont and the light flashes amber 3 times then green once. We have tried charging it for over 2 hours and still does not work. Can anyone advise before I start spending more money?

If you are sure that your harddrive has been connected properly then it should be a issue with battery.

I would suggest you to try a replace battery.

It may be the drive then!

Do u think it would be the battery if the green light is on while off but charging, it's not until I press the on button!

amber 3 times then green once usually signifies problems with the battery

I would recommend you to check your harddrive before doubting the battery
