Hello, guys.. I have one big problem..

first I was able to connect my laptop that got connected to internet via wifi and
i was able to sharing my connection to my pc via lan cable even without have to force my ip to the same network.. it works like charm just by using automatic ip and permit for internet sharing..
*worked by using tutor from weee @ this link http://ccm.net/forum/affich-39151-connect-laptop-and-pc-to-share-internet-conn*

then I playing around with homegroup from here * http://ccm.net/forum/affich-14619-sharing-documents-between-two-computers *

during the setup the homegroup is disabled the internet connection in the pc..
and it turns out I'm having some problem during the username and password thingy and finally I gave up and disable all my homegroup.. but even after i disabled them it still won't work..

things I've tried :
1. disable homegroup from services.msc
2. try the method to share internet connection now with force ip
3. with the force ip won't work I've tried ipconfig /renew
4. try reboot my modem. *but my laptop that got connected had no problem. I think it's not because of the modem*
5. try system restore to yesterday.. *it all happened in one day.*

it all won't work.. I really getting desperate.. plz I need all your help.. :(

Greetings,

According to what you mentioned, I think you can use a proxy server software for Internet connection sharing. Bellow are the steps:

1.Connect the laptop and PC with a cross cable. The network settings should be different with the wifi network setting. e.g.
Laptop:
IP - 192.168.1.1
Mast - 255.255.255.0
Gateway - 192.168.1.1
DNS - 192.168.1.1
PC:
IP - 192.168.1.2
Mast - 255.255.255.0
Gateway - leave it blank
DNS - leave it blank
Please make sure you can ping laptop from PC.

2. Install a proxy server software such as CCProxy and Wingate on the laptop.
CCProxy has free version and it is easy to use but can not support transparent proxy which means you need to make proxy settings on the PC.
Wingate can support transparent proxy cause it can work as a gateway but it's a little complex compare with CCProxy.
Honestly speaking, Wingate has more features than CCProxy but, for home users, CCProxy is indeed easy.
Wingate - https://www.wingate.com/
CCProxy - https://www.youngzsoft.net/ccproxy/quick_start.htm

3. Make proxy settings on the PC.
For IE: Click "Tools" -> "Internet Options" -> "Connections" -> "LAN Settings" -> select "Use a proxy server for your LAN" -> "Advanced" -> type 192.168.1.1 as proxy address and port (depending on your settings) here.
For Firefox: Click "Tools" -> "Options" -> "Advanced" -> "Network" -> "Connections" -> "Settings" -> "Manual proxy configuration" -> type 192.168.1.1 as proxy address and port (depending on your settings) here.
