Hello,

I got a Compaq presario Laptop, when I boot up it said "operating system not detected"
I Cannot access the Bios as I do not have the admin password.

When I tried to use the recovey console, and enter a command after C:\ it said invalid path or there is no disk in the drive

if I enter DISKPART, there is no active partition, it just said that the disk cannot be accessed
FIXBOOT and FIXMBR do not help either.

Is there any way for the PC to detect my HDD and sort this issue out?

Thanks,huguy

the only way to do this unfortunately is for you to reformat the pc, and i will suggest you to put an original/licensed version of the OS on your computer. Make sure that this OS is compatible with all the hardware and peripherals that you are making use of

Hi,
I think either your hdd is connection is loose, try to check the hdd area and try pressing it towards the connectors and try again or else your hard disk is crashed.... check with another hard disk or the technician can do it easily.....

you can access the CMOS password or by passed by disabling it, simply open your computer (the casing) and look for the jumper of the CMOS chips mostly it is near the battery of your motherboard then short the jumper by removing the jumper open then power up the system, then shout it down and bring the original setting of the jumper the power up again.

There you go CMOS password is cleared and you can access now the CMOS-SETUP.

Look for the HDD detection it should be set to an auto detect.
