Changed registry and failed hard. Closed

Question

Greetings and thank you for wasting any time in advance.
I was recently told to change my default install location for a program and set about doing that.

I didn't back up my registry beforehand and now am in a rather tight bind...

I modified the circled box to a folder on my desktop and probably didn't even manage to that correctly. Now when I turn my computer on I get six beeps in a row (due purely to this).Any advice? Thanks regardless.

Can you get into safemode? If yes

Try a system restore to previous point.

Unfortunately as I stated above when I turn the computer on it beeps six times and the screen remains black ; /. Any thoughts on how I can get it into safemode with it like that? Thanks for the reply.

Do you get a screen ?

if so insert your repair CD and try a startup repair
