Hello, I have a windows xp on Gateway. The other day I was trying to free up some disk space and so I went to add or remove programs and deleted my high output audio device. OOps. I just want my sound back. I have changed anything about the computer so my device should still be hoocked up I guess. How do I get my computer to recognize that device or at least get it to have some kind of sound?

Please provide your PC model number so that we can search for sound drivers
lol how do I find out my PC model number?
I think I found my PC model Number. It's Model: CX2726
I know this may be silly but how do I install the chipset driver. When the file opens I try the icon that says setup but it tells me that it has incountered a problem and it needs to close. So if I cant download that what else can I do?
