Hello,
I am very new to this and but believe that anything can be created and simplified with computers.
I am creating a holiday schedule where I have a max of 8 spots for names and max of 8 spots for tasks. Everyday the task change and the amount of people also change. The amount te tasks is the same as the number of people. They rotate thier tasks every half hour. I would like to place the names on the side and have Excel populate the numbers based on the tasks available. Therefore, it would populate 1-7 and then start at 1 again. Somedays I may only have 5 people and 5 tasks.
Please see the example below.

1:00 1:30 2:00 2:30 3:00 3:30
1 Joan 1 2 3 4 5 6
2 Tom 2 3 4 5 6 7
3 Larry 3 4 5 6 7 1
4 Jason 4 5 6 7 1 2
5 Mike 5 6 7 1 2 3
6 John 6 7 1 2 3 4
7 Sara 7 1 2 3 4 5
8

1 Task 1 5 Task 5
2 Task 2 6 Task 6
3 Task 3 7 Task 7
4 Task 4 8

Hard to see here you sample data because of loss of format

can you upload a sample file at some file share site and post back the link to the file here. Using that file as basis, if you could also re-explain your issue, I am sure some one would be able to help. On surface seem like a very doable thing
