Hello,

this might be an easy one. If i have a long list of numbers and that list contains the same items, numbers whatever several times, how do i get excel to show only the items on this list once? Thank you so much!

you can highlight the column
and control+F and type the string or number you want to find and click findall
you will get the cell addresses at the bottom of the find window

if you want a vba post back

Thank you very much. It may not even possible to do what I am trying here. Image a long list of numbers, for example three digit numbers: 610, 624,624,640 etc the list goes on. I would want excel to display each number but only once in a different column. So for example if 624 is 250 times on this list it would only show once. I know it can be easily done with a pivot table but I thought there might be a function for this.
