It mightnt be compatible with vista, your cd drive might be messed up or the disc is. I'd google "Sims 2 compatibility issues vista" then id make sure my cd disc works for other stuff then id see if the disc works on someone elses computer. One of those possibilities will most likely answer your question for you. If you computer just had the worng specs it wouldnt just not work you'd get an error message or something, so it has to be one of the above three possibilities.
