Laptop screen??

Hello,

I replaced the screen on my daughters laptop which was VERY simple. Took like 5 minutes. Well battery needs charging and it will not charge. Had the charger tested and it was fine. Put ne battery in and the laptop fired up. BUT when you plug the charger to the laptop that "charging" light does not come on like Dc Jack is messed up or motherboard is messed up. Could this be tied in with the screen replacement.?
