Can't open C or D drive by double clicking

Hello,

when i am clicking on any one of the drive in my PC a command prompt with respective drive is opening.

Even i tried this one also:
c:\> attrib -r -s -h autorun.inf
c:\> del autorun.inf
d:\> attrib -r -s -h autorun.inf
d:\> del autorun.inf
restart the pc

But still my problem is not solved.Please help me on this one.

You can try this fix:

start regedit.exe to edit the registry - go to

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion­\Explorer\MountPoints2


delete all drive references you find here

I tried but my issue still persists kindly help me on this.

Thank you very much for your advice.

It worked after I deleted all SUB-FOLDERS of MountPoints2 (its value cannot be deleted).

Your solution was simple and effective (even though I don't know what exactly it did to the Registry).

I think it's a virus problem. so try to scan your pc with antivirus.
