You can try this fix:
start regedit.exe to edit the registry - go to
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersionÂ\Explorer\MountPoints2
delete all drive references you find here

I think it's a virus problem. so try to scan your pc with antivirus.

Thank you very much for your advice.
It worked after I deleted all SUB-FOLDERS of MountPoints2 (its value cannot be deleted).
Your solution was simple and effective (even though I don't know what exactly it did to the Registry).
