Hello,
I'm currently having a problem with my laptop right now. This started a few days ago. When i was gaming and surfing the web, my internet wouldn't load. After awhile, the screen had a message that said DNS server were not responding. At first, i thought it was a router/modem problem. So i power cycled my router and modem. It worked fine, until the problem happened again. I would suddenly drop off and have no connection to the internet, unless i manually reset my modem or reconnect. But the problem would still occur in 5-10 mins or so. I asked my dad if he was able to connect to the internet, and his laptop had no problems. It's kind of weird, but i have connection on that laptop yesterday. I thought the problem was solved, but after a few hours, I dropped off and have no connection to the internet again. (But the icon still shows that i was connected).

I've already tried resetting my IP and winsock, reinstalling my LAN driver, and removing Norton. But none worked. Any suggestions on how to fix this would help.

Thank you.

open my network connections. right click on local area connection and select properties.a window will be open which has these three tabs General Authentication advanced. you are currently on General tab. You can see this message under the tabs The connection uses the following items:

Clients for microsoft networks
File and printer sharing for microsoft networks
QoS packet scheduler
Internet protocol(TCP\IP)

Make sure that these items are checked if you have any other item except these then select that item and click uninstall.
