No display

Hello,


I have a Dell Inspiron AMD Vision laptop and up till today it has worked fine. When last turned on, the power stays lit up but the screen goes black and the only thing on the screen is a small white rectangle that constantly flashes. This small rectangle occurs in the upper left corner and will go for as long as the power buton is on. I have called the technical support and after waiting three hours found out that they don't know but would still like to charge me
