Hi,

The speakers on my Vostro 3400 are not working. In the morning they were working fine, but after I installed the k-lite codec pack they stopped functioning.

Headphones are working fine, but NO sound whatsoever is coming out of the speakers. I've already downloaded the most recent drivers from dell.com, let windows install it's own drivers, install the realtek drivers. I've also verified the device is not muted, pluged in and out several times the headphones jack. I have verified on the Device Manager that all the devices are running properly. But none of this solutions seem to be working. I even reinstalled windows (have two HD partitions, one for files and another one for System files) but no luck either.

Windows says that the speakers are producing sound, but no sound is produced. :S

I'm running
Windows 7 Professional 32-bit
Current Driver: IDT High Definition Audio CODEC (func_01&ven_111d&dev_7605)

Any ideas on what I might try or what seems to be the problem?

You may have to replace the speakers. Good luck
