You format hard drives. You don't format computers.
You install Operating Systems (Windows XP).
This is a common situation because the motherboard was probably manufactured after Windows XP was delivered. You should have received a driver disk with the motherboard. If you didn't you can download a free program called SlimDrivers that will find and install the latest drivers. Just Google SlimDrivers for a download location.

i don't understand with 'you don't format computers'. i did reinstall the driver which so-called has earlier been installed. it works fine, but after that I experience my pc always hang and feels like it runs heavy.
