Here is what worked for me when nothing else did. I right clicked on the little sound icon at the bottom right of my computer (on the toolbar) and clicked Playback devices. At first the only options were Speakers/Headphones and Communications Headphones. All you have to do is right click on the blank/empty part of the area and make sure Show Disabled Devices is checked. Once you check that, you should see an option to select your HDtv. Click on that as your default and it should play after that. :)
