Laptop screen black and no response

Hello,
I have tried all this and get no response, I took my battery out and left for a few hours,re inserted in and started up and all worked fine,left it on charge for half hour and black screen is back up with no response at all,when insert power lead there is orange light,doesn't seem to like getting charged,is this indicator for new battery although laptops only couple month old?any help be most appreciated?

Hello Walshy,
When you take the battery out and disconnect the cables, press on the start button for about 60 seconds, then replace the battery and cables.

Dear Walshy,
I gave you the solution which in cases similar to yours worked 100%.
I don't know the brand and model of your lappy but it seems that there lemons on the market.
It't only a couple months old, you must still have a warranty. I suggest you take it back for repair.
Good luck.
P.S. A laptop should last for at least 3 years without any hardware problems; often there are hidden warranties.
