Laptop l300d laptop black screen

Hello,

can someone please help me out? When i switch my laptop on, the laptop powers up and i can hear the laptop running, howeer the screen stays pitch black. I cannot see anything but a black screen. Also the only lights that flash are the battery and power light at the bottom of the laptop. The other lights usually flash next to the power light, but dont, i think it is the hardrive, its a cylinder shape.
This happened about a month ago and i've left my laptop to the side for a while, really need to have this fixed as i need my laptop working. ive tried other solutions on other forums such as: pulling power out and then battery out, holding power button for 60 seconds then power back in. this solution isnt working for me at all.

Can some please help me out.
