Hello,

I frequently switch between my monitor and my hdmi tv on my computer and ive never had any sound problems but for some reason today when i switched to my hdmi connection its saying there arent any playback devices connected, it worked for months before today...and i kno its connected cause the images are on the screen but no sound is comin from the speakers, what could have caused this and how do i fix it?

No offense taken lol. I had to come here and search how to connect mine , today was the third time this week. The 1st time I did it deferent and it worked but I couldn't remember how I did it! Luckily I have lots cables and cords that give results. PS... I wrote it down after I got it to work! I'm sorry I was of no help but my 15 yr old girl knows more bout PC's than me. I hope u can find ur solution , Good Luck!

I had same prob, u need a RCA cord, mine was obviously red white yellow but other end was one black, on the back of ur tv HDMI/DVI, plug the red and white you don't need the yellow then connect the black into your headphone jack area mine had a mic symbol , headphone, then a plain port . I used plain one. Then go to contro panel -hardware/sound click manage devices under playback click ATI Output then click ok
