Cannot download Flash Player on Mac 10.6.8Closed

Hello, 

I simply cannot download Flash Player, the window turns black and all. I searched solution for downloading dmg files, and holding alt button helped for - for example - downloading last.fm scrobbler, but while doing so for flash player, it just downloads a completion.html. I'm stuck, please help.

Configuration: Mac OS X / Safari 534.57.2

I had trouble with this and I was trying to access my LuLu publishing account for a book I'm trying to write - they denied me access for the flash player not being installed on my new Mac - I followed their prompts and VIOLA!!  it worked - so go to LuLu - 
start an account and when you try to log back in follow their instructions - it works
