Hello,

not knowing this 'administrator ppassword' has been killing me for few years (we did not keep the disk). Apparently there is a solution, but what will become of all the informaion that has accumulated on this machine over the years? one of the items read from the workaround to regain control of the overarching 'administrator password' reads that one will not be able to access old files. It seems that I need the password in order to perform certain functions (read: download and run certain software) but nothing supercedes the need to retain and access files on this machine.

thoughts?
