I have forgotten mac password

Hello,

So I was grounded and my parents changed my mac's password and then they forgot...
I have tried all that rebooting stuff, like holding down command+s and holding down C while the disc for it is in, nothing works
I even have the disc and when I do these tricks it just shows up at the normal login screen.
