Hi,

I have a PC with 2 x GPU. The embedded Intel 4000 and a GeForce GTX 555. The system is defaulting to using the Intel, which has only 64Mb VRAM. The result is not being able to play games (it is a gaming PC).

NVidia suggested disabling the Intel in the Bios. I checked on the Intel site and found a suggestion to right click and disable it in device manager first. Which I foolishly did.

Now the screen is black. I cannot start in safe mode or any mode - the screen is always black so I cannot see any options. I tried putting the original disc that came with the system and the screen is black, so cannot do anything there either.

Any suggestions?

Just an update, I tried plugging in a second monitor and that worked as it used the second GPU. I could then re-enable the embedded Intel GPU.

Still did not help my issue with the embedded GPU but at least it is running. I also found that if I kept the second monitor, then run games on it, the GeForce GPU is used.
