Hello,
From what I understand, the monitor is not working. Please check whether the power cable to the monitor is propperly plugged first. It may be that the power cable is not sending any electricity for the monitor to function.
If it is alright, then check the display cable to the monitor. You must plug it properly. Also check whether the pins have not been damaged. If they have been damaged while you cleaned it up, you will have to have an alternative one.
